Ok, here's a couple of pics to illustrate the differences in lengths and radii:
The top item is the stock arm and the one underneath is one I made. (in the image underneath) Another view:
As you can see, there's not a huge amount in it, but the difference in feel is amazing!
I simply used a bench vice to bend the arm into shape. I did have to tinker with the plug-in bit to get it to fit. I think I put it in a lathe before I bent it and used a file to copy the cross-section of the original unit. Better sort this out before you start beding, otherwise you just make life *really* difficult for yourself!
